Mahmut ÖZETİ| Ören, yaptığı yazılı açıklamada, "Trabzonspor Divan Başkanlık Kurulu’nun 2 Mart 2024 tarihinde yapılacak olan genel kurulu’nda, birlik ve beraberliğini pekiştirerek, kulübümüzün kuruluş felsefesine, temel ilkelerine ve geleneklerine sahip çıkma hedefi ile Divan Başkanlık Kurulu başkanlığına adaylığımı açıklamaktan onur duyuyorum. Adaylığım ile ilgili düşüncelerimi önümüzdeki günlerde arkadaşlarımla birlikte yapacağımız basın toplantısı ile kamuoyu ile paylaşacağız” dedi.
